A word to the readers of InterestRoot

So when I started the Interest Root, I immediately had an idea of what I wanted to cover.  I wanted to talk about all of my many interests obviously.  Well what wasn't immediately obvious was my plan of action.  I have these ideas that swirl in my head, and oft times I lose track of what came first, where that one idea went and what I was talking about two seconds ago.  Through the mayhem that has been this last week, I have learned a valuable lesson.  QUALITY OVER QUANTITY.

I got so caught up with just getting something done, anything done, every day and now I'm left with sub-par work that I know I can do better than.  I guess I got carried away.  The first posts I made I really felt were a strong representation of my skills as a writer, but gradually day by day, my posts have lost their grandeur and pazass (is that how you spell that?).  I will hold onto this lesson that I've learned, and I won't let this diminish my dream to have a successful blog.

In short, I want to apologize for the posts that are less than complete and I want to make a promise that henceforth I shall only post when I feel it is 100% complete and I am satisfied with the quality.  In addition I'm going to take down the posts I feel fall into the lesser category and redo them.  If one of those happens to be one you liked I thank you, but at the same time I'm sorry.  For you clearly are just a very nice person, and are easily satisfied.

Thank you!

LCS Week 2 Breakdown, and game of the week!

So it's week 3 of the LCS, and for those of you still not quite certain what it is, I invite you to check out the link and see what all the fuss is about!

I have to be honest, I don't have sound on my computer at the moment so I haven't been able to follow the league as much as I'd like.  Nonetheless, I'm making a concerted effort to keep up with it to give you all the latest and greatest concerning ESports nation as it pertains to the League of Legends scene.

An Author's World: Nelson Lowhim - Spotlight

Hello everyone!  We're back with another segment to my, An Author's World, series.  Today I'll be shine the spotlight on a fellow author and one of his excerpts for an E-Book titled, Run.  This excerpt features an intense depiction of setting, as well as emotions.  It gets you thinking, and it certainly builds suspense as each line passes.  What is the character running from?  Maybe he's running to something, or maybe... to someone.  Enjoy!

An Author's World: The Returned

Hello again! I've finally had time to think about what I want to release first for my Creative Writings section.  I'm thrilled to finally be able to release this section!  Writing is a passion of mine, and while I'm not the best at it, I hope I can provide some jolly good entertainment for everyone.  Anyway, after a great deal of input from my team (my wife, and our ever inquisitive dog: Diesel) I have concluded that I will be sharing the plot summary of a book I've been working on as of late.

The Deuce In South Beach

Wow... Just wow. That's how a game 7 is supposed to be played. We saw fantastic competition and for the most part shaky basketball. Both teams were noticeably weathered, and not at their tip top shape. Nonetheless, this was one of the grittiest games I've seen in a long time. You could see the heart and soul being left on the court. Win or lose both teams were dead set on this game, and as sports fans we got exactly what we wanted. So it's all over and we have to say goodbye to our beloved ballers, but first: The Aftermath.

NBA Finals: We finally get a game 7!

We've had one game seven in the last six years, that's saying something pretty profound.  It tells me that the last six years have been predominantly owned by a team much more skilled than the other.  Well that's not the case here.  Here we have two teams who are highly regarded in the league.  On one hand, you have a master tactician and knows just how to pry and pick a team apart.  On the other hand, you have the best player in the world, and arguably the second best as well.  Both sides possess equal opportunity to win this, but it will all come down to who can finish.

The Heat: Where's the big 3?

As the opener for my Sports section, I feel inclined to talk about the Heat.  Oh yes, the almighty Heat and their King.

ESports: In a League of it's own.

Oh yeah baby, it's that time, this is Geek-Zone ya'll, set your attention to focus.  I've talked about sports already, but I'm not talking about Basketball, Baseball or the like.  We're talking ESports!  Where the Kobes and Mannings have no bearing.  Where the "King" is really a lil white dude with just enough muscle to support his basic human functions... like sitting up straight.

Baseball in 2 years: The new golden age

So lately, and when I say lately I mean in the past two months, I have spoke to many people on the topic of sports.  And while I can honestly say there are some really bright people out there, probably far brighter than I, I have to make one thing known - You're wrong about Baseball.

Pilot

Ladies and gentlemen I give you the first, and the last, place you'll ever have to look for sports, video games, gadgets, movies, literature (the fun kind), and probably a whole lot more.  Essentially this blog is meant to entertain, and I'm going to do it the best way I know how... talking about "stuff".

Even Tom is excited (yay pilots, wooo!)

I want to spark sports discussions with you would-be analysts out there.  Let's discuss the so called, "dynasty", that Miami is trying to produce.  Let's talk about how baseball has been in a slump as far as popularity goes.  Is Track and Field really a thing to be excited about now?  Well maybe if the fastest guy in the world prances around with the charisma of a Hollywood star, and has the last name of "Bolt".  I can get behind that.

Here you will find reviews, and discussions on the top up and coming, games, movies, books, gadgets and quite possibly cooking supplies, because a frying pan is srs bidniz.

Oh, and you can most certainly count on some fantasy snippets here and there.  One of my free-time hobbies is writing, and I am deadly serious about publishing something in the next 30 years, mark my words.  In all seriousness though, I do love to write and I will share some of my works, and maybe I'll even produce some fun scenes to share.  Prepare to marvel at my wonders!

Last but certainly not least, I would like to delve into the Esports scene.  It's an area of entertainment that is finally coming into it's own, and there's a few games that are making this happen.  My focus will be on League of Legends in particular, and it's Esports scene.  You might see mention of other events/games as well, so stay tuned my fellow geeks, stay tuned...

Yeah, I think that about does it.  Prepare for epicness people of the interwebs because it is coming, and it's gonna hit like a freight train.  #ThomasTheTrain.
