An Author's World: Nelson Lowhim - Spotlight

Hello everyone!  We're back with another segment to my, An Author's World, series.  Today I'll be shine the spotlight on a fellow author and one of his excerpts for an E-Book titled, Run.  This excerpt features an intense depiction of setting, as well as emotions.  It gets you thinking, and it certainly builds suspense as each line passes.  What is the character running from?  Maybe he's running to something, or maybe... to someone.  Enjoy!

Summary: It's a dark piece meant to represent a Veteran (though it
could be anyone, I suppose) distancing himself from the world around
him via his past.
